Whether it’s your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch, one of the most frustrating problems you can encounter is a flashing Apple logo that will not let your mobile device boot up like normal. You’ll know you have this problem if the Apple logo repeatedly blinks in two-second intervals and never loads to the main screen.

Solution #2: iTunes

Solution #1: Hard Restart
- While turned off, hold down the Power button and both Volume buttons.

If your iPhone 8, iPhone X or iPhone 8 Plus is stuck on the Apple logo, there are three possible solutions. Try these proven methods to resolve any iPhone 8, iPhone X or iPhone 8 Plus stuck on the Apple logo:
Solution #1: Hard Restart

- Connect iPhone and computer via USB cable.
- Hold the Power button for three seconds.
- Still holding the Power button, hold Volume Down button for 10 seconds.
- Release Power button; continue holding Volume Down button.
- Select “Restore” or “Backup” when prompted.
iPad Apple Logo Flashing Fix
An iPad stuck on the Apple logo can be fixed by doing a hard restart or, failing that, a system update.
Solution #1: Hard Restart
- Hold the Power button and Volume Down button until the Apple logo appears.
- Any other connected mobile devices
Note: For step one, older iPads require holding the Power button and Home button.
Solution #2: System Update
If the iPad is stuck on the Apple logo still, use iTunes to perform a system update.
- Connect iPad and computer via USB cable.
- Open iTunes on computer.
- Hold the Power button and Volume Down button until recovery screen appears.
- iTunes will ask if you want to perform an “Update” or a “Restore”.
- Select “Update”. “Restore” also works but will erase personal files.

Apple watch Flashing Apple Logo Fix
An Apple Watch stuck on the Apple logo is a bit different to fix than other mobile devices due to its unique design, but the general principles of fixing an Apple Watch stuck on the Apple logo remain the same.
Solution #1: Hard Restart
- Hold the digital crown and the side button for 10 seconds.
- Release when the Apple logo appears.
Solution #2: Chiming
If your Apple Watch is stuck on the Apple logo after trying a hard restart, use your iPhone to fix it.
- Select “Watch App” from iPhone Home screen.
- Select “Find My Watch”.
- Select your Apple Watch.
- Select “Actions”.
- Select “Play Sound”.
Note: You might have to select “Play Sound” three times before the Apple Watch logo is no longer stuck.
Solution #3: System Restoration
If the Apple Watch is stuck on the Apple logo after chiming, then it’s probably a software issue that needs to be restored to factory default settings.
